Sunshine on the Lake - botanical dyed silk scarf
Hand dyed using natural colours of goldenrod flowers and indigo, this scarf has 'organic' stripes created with clamped resists - when the binding is released beautiful 'organic' stripes remain on the fabric. The colours in this piece remind me of the sunshine on a blue green lake - there is an exquisite shimmering interaction between the blues of the indigo and the golden yellows of the goldenrod flowers. Goldenrod grows in the lower elevations of the mountains where I live - I have included a photo of these lovely flowers.
This is a medium sized, very lightweight silk scarf with a soft ethereal drape. It can be worn looped, knotted or draped. Wear this medium sized scarf in a variety of ways - silk offers warmth in winter and coolness in the summer.
