Mother of Pearl - Ecoprint and Botanical dyed silk scarf

$160.00

When silk captures the colours of nature something magical happens.

Gorgeous irregular stripes of indigo blue and green with warm pinks, golds and dark brown make this large silk scarf quite striking. This botanically dyed silk has been ecoprinted with black walnut, smokebush and maple leaves with tickseed leaves and buds in a black tea dyebath, and then finished in an indigo vat . Organic stripes are created using clamped shapes to resist the dye. The movement of light on this flat crepe silk shimmers like mother of pear with colours that catch your eye as you move.

When silk captures the colours of nature something magical happens.

This silk scarf has been hand dyed with black tea, brazilwood and indigo and ecoprinted with botanicals from the Kootenays in BC where I live.

A lightweight silk scarf with a soft drape which can be worn looped, knotted or draped. Wear this large sized scarf in a variety of ways - silk offers warmth in winter and coolness in the summer.
